MEMBERSHIP FEES |

All fees are due no later than October 31st. of each year. |

MEMBERSHIPS |

||||||||||||||||||||||
|
A youth member will automatically become a associate member when turning sixteen, and then ask to be voted full membership status if he/she wishes to do so. |
||||||||||||||||||||||
| All members wishing to participate in public and/or non-public re-enactment and living history events need to be fully insured. Uninsured persons may only participate in meetings, workshops and internal club feasts. For those members who have MARE NOSTRVM as their primary group, the association will facilitate insurance for them. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| Currently insurance costs $20.00 per annum and is provided through QLHF membership. You will be provided with a QLHF membership card, which you will have to produce at events as proof or your being insured. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
|
We also distinguish between RE-ENACTORS and NON RE-ENACTORS at all levels of club membership. |
||||||||||||||||||||||
|
KIT |
||||||||||||||||||||||
| All Members should have the following kit items within six months of joining. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| Tunica or Chiton | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| Belt or girdle | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| Shoes or sandals | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| Basic eating utensils | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| If you make these items yourself ,the cost should be between $ 60.00 -$ 80.00. Current members are willing to help newcomers. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| Re-enactors should also have these additional items within six months of joining. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| Hat or Petasos | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| Purse - Bag or pouch | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| Military re-enactors ought to posses a sling and slingers pouch. These additional kit items my add another $ 30.00 - $50.00. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| Those who wish to spent the night at an event are well advised to invest in a blanket and/or cloak and a period acceptable tent at their own leisure. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

AUTHENTICITY |
||||||||||||||||||||||
| All clothing must be made of natural fibres and be hand-sewn, using natural thread only. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| Leathergoods must be hand-made, or purchased from approved suppliers, using vege-tanned leather and sewn using either sinew or (waxed) linen thread. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| Armour, weapons and tools must be hand-made or purchased from approved suppliers. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
|
TENTAGE |

| Tents and general utensils must be reasonably period correct in style and manufacture, and must not contain or be made of (as far as possible) modern material and/or components. Tents are to be made of canvas, poles of wood ,pegs either of wood or iron and ropes of hemp or the like. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| No items made of stainless steel, aluminium, fibreglass or plastic of any kind are permited. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| All clothing, equipment as detailed above must be approved by the FOUNDATION COMMITTEE. General on the spot approval can be given by the nominated event authenticity/safety officer. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
